Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Prior experience in property management or related field.
  • Property management software experience is required
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office navigating the Internet.
  • Command of the English language with the ability to edit the work of others.
  • Familiar with standards for business letters, memos, contracts, etc.
  • Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree/ Real Estate Education/Degree Preferred.
  • Experience in Affordable Housing.
  • Knowledge of LIHTC and HUD.
  • Experience in multi-site management.
  • Prior experience with RealPage OneSite.
  • NYS Notary License must be obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Manages communications with residents and staff ensuring a harmonious and professional workplace environment.
  • Collects rent payments, process billing, post payments, and deposit receipts according to company procedures (including handling Section 8 and other supplemental payments).
  • Prepares required reports for Regional/Area Managers, Accounting, and other departments.
  • Maintains accurate and compliant resident files for both internal and external audits.
  • Completes move-out paperwork and manages security deposit processes, ensuring accurate data input into relevant software (e.g., Onesite).
  • Conducts property tours, new resident orientation, and move-in and move-out inspections with residents.
  • Enforces lease agreements and community rules in accordance with Fair Housing laws.
  • Walks property regularly to inspect conditions, exterior and interior.
  • Prepares property for audits or regulatory inspections, ensuring adherence to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations regarding multifamily housing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and commits to promoting company culture, mission, and values.
