About The Position

This role acts as a coordinator for a portfolio of Low Income Housing Tax Credit investments. The primary function is to monitor customer requests, assign tasks, and assist the asset management team in managing and reviewing investments. The goal is to ensure benefit delivery to investors while maintaining superior customer service for external clients. This position also involves maintaining and expanding relationships with partners, borrowers, and other external parties within the portfolio, monitoring portfolio performance, assigning risk ratings, and preparing internal reports. The role requires ensuring assigned investment projects adhere to U.S. Bancorp policies and procedures and conform to regulatory requirements. Additionally, the coordinator must stay current on tax credit policies, banking laws, regulations, economic and industry trends, and banking products and services related to asset management. Participation in establishing policies and procedures for the team's tasks is also expected.

Requirements

  • Typically Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically two or more years of related experience
  • Some knowledge of tax credit investment management with experience interpreting legal documentation and requirements.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently, and possesses acute attention to detail
  • Strong customer services skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills

  • Some knowledge of LIHTC, RTC and/or NMTC preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as a coordinator for a portfolio of Low Income Housing Tax Credit investments.
  • Monitor customer requests and assign tasks as applicable.
  • Assist members of the asset management team in the management and review of a portfolio of investments.
  • Ensure benefit delivery to investors and maintain superior customer service for external clients.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with partners, borrowers, and other external parties within the portfolio.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and assign risk ratings in accordance with policy.
  • Review and interpret operating agreements, loan agreements, and other legal documents related to equity investments and loans.
  • Prepare internal written and verbal reporting on portfolio performance.
  • Ensure assigned investment projects adhere to U.S. Bancorp policies and procedures and conform to regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current on various tax credit policies, banking laws and regulations, economic and industry trends, and banking products and services related to asset management of investments and loans.
  • Participate in the establishment of policies and procedures necessary for accomplishing the team's tasks.
