Affordability at Raytheon is a systems-engineering-driven discipline focused on delivering the best value solutions across the full product lifecycle—from concept and design through production, sustainment, and retirement. Affordability integrates cost, schedule, technical performance, producibility, and sustainment into a decision framework aligned to the Raytheon RLPM (RTX Lifecycle Program Management) structure. Affordability ensures decisions are data-driven, support mission readiness, and comply with Defense industry requirements and constraints. Affordability transforms complex engineering and operational data into clear cost insights that help programs meet customer expectations, reduce risk, and improve long-term value. The Affordability Data Analyst Manager leads advanced statistical and lifecycle cost analyses supporting affordability modeling, cost credibility, and RLPM milestone reviews. The Affordability Data Analyst Manager develops analytic frameworks, identifies key cost drivers, and supports Modelers and Leads with high-confidence datasets. This is an onsite role located in McKinney, TX.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, including multivariate regression, forecasting, and/or distribution modeling.
  • Experience analyzing/ interpreting cost structures across design, production, and/ or sustainment phases.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • A Data Analytics Degree.
  • An Active and Transferable Secret clearance.
  • Experience supporting Cost Estimating Relationship (CER) development or parametric modeling inputs.
  • Familiarity with DoD cost structures, reporting requirements, or acquisition frameworks.
  • Experience analyzing production, supplier, or sustainment datasets within regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced analytics including multivariate regression, predictive modeling, and cost-driver decomposition.
  • Develop analytical frameworks supporting RLPM phase reviews and affordability processes.
  • Integrate multi-disciplinary data sources (engineering, operations, SCM, sustainment) for lifecycle insight.
  • Identify fixed, variable, step, and learning-curve cost behaviors and their lifecycle implications.
  • Produce analytical outputs supporting CRIs, trade studies, AoAs, and cost maturity assessments.
  • Mentor earlier in career analysts in statistical techniques and affordability methods.
