About The Position

The Nursing Program at Loyola University Maryland invites applications for per-course affiliate faculty to serve as clinical instructors in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program. Positions are open on a rolling basis, based on program needs. Loyola's BSN program integrates a liberal arts foundation with a holistic nursing education steeped in the Jesuit care and social justice tradition. Clinical instructors are expected to mentor students in nursing, using their clinical acumen and teaching expertise to prepare future nurses. Per-course instructors follow established syllabi adhering to accreditation standards and are issued course-specific contracts for each semester they teach. The successful candidate will instruct students in a clinical setting in Baltimore, MD, such as Mercy Medical Center or surrounding area hospitals. Teaching assignments will align with program needs and instructor expertise, with exact days varying depending on the clinical schedule.

Requirements

MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing
Current unencumbered RN license in the state of Maryland
Two years of experience as an RN
Clinical expertise in subject area to be taught: Health Assessment, Fundamentals, Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics, Maternal-Child, Mental Health, Community Health, Transition to Practice
Eligible to work in the United States and complete employment eligibility verification by the first day of employment.
