About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join OVME. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional client care and assisting in various clinical and administrative tasks. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and compassionate approach will contribute to creating a positive and comfortable experience for our clients throughout their journey.

Requirements

  • Minimum (1) year experience as a Medical Assistant and Experience working in a medical office, or the cosmetic industry is required.
  • Additional Medical Assistant Credentialing is a plus (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA).
  • Must be available to work evenings and Saturdays.
  • Organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
  • Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships.
  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the clinical staff in performing a variety of non-surgical aesthetic procedures, including laser treatments, injectables, chemical peels, and other services.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and equipped with the necessary supplies, instruments, and devices.
  • Prepare clients for treatments, explaining the procedures, addressing any concerns, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments, equipment, and treatment areas following appropriate infection control protocols.
  • Support the clinical staff during procedures by providing necessary assistance.
  • Perform skin assessments and document client medical histories, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Educate clients on pre- and post-treatment care instructions, including skincare regimens and potential side effects.
  • Collaborate with the clinic team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Greet and check-in patients.
  • Schedule patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits, ensuring efficient and organized scheduling.
  • Manage patient records, including accurate data entry, updating medical histories, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies to ensure an adequate stock of medical and office materials.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information regarding services, treatments, and pricing.
