About The Position

This role involves performing a variety of facial and waxing services according to established procedures and guidelines. The Aesthetician will provide guests with expert knowledge and personalized recommendations for skincare, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. The position requires punctuality, efficient use of supplies, and a willingness to assist with various spa operations, including retail assistance, training, and other duties as assigned by management. The Aesthetician will act as a representative of the spa's philosophy, maintaining a professional and positive demeanor at all times.

Requirements

  • Proper and current certification or licenses as mandated by the state of California.
  • Prior practical experience in a professional environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high level of guest service orientation.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population of guests and team members.
  • A friendly, personable disposition and positive attitude.
  • Applicants must be able to provide proof that they are legally able to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Spa/ hospitality experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all facial and waxing services as listed on the spa treatment menu.
  • Provide all treatments according to specified procedures and guidelines.
  • Offer knowledge and information about skin care appropriate for each guest, providing personalized prescriptions.
  • Demonstrate punctuality for all appointments, both in the spa and for in-room services.
  • Understand and perform treatments that can be administered in guestrooms.
  • Maintain accurate inventory controls of supplies and use them efficiently without waste.
  • Assist with the planning of new treatments and products.
  • Assist in the basic training of additional aestheticians.
  • Learn general spa operations and fill in as needed, potentially escorting guests or performing other duties.
  • Assist in the retail areas, focusing on skin care/aromatherapy products.
  • Adhere to uniform standards at all times.
  • Act as a representative of the Spa and its philosophy, reflecting a healthy, fit appearance and positive attitude.
  • Adhere to on-call duties/protocols.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous disposition during all guest and team member interactions.
  • Adhere to assigned work schedules, understanding that schedules change according to business demands.
  • Report any injuries, safety issues, or guest incidents to a manager within designated time frames.
  • Stay current on all policy and procedure revisions/changes by reading posted memos and announcements.
  • Attend all mandatory spa and hotel meetings.
  • Attend all mandatory spa training sessions.
  • Recommend other spa/resort facilities, programs, and products to guests.
  • Assist the spa management team in any other tasks as needed and deemed appropriate.
