About The Position

Dermatology & Advanced Skin Care is a growing, well-established, multi-doctor dermatology practice in the Columbia area. The Aesthetician performs facial and body procedures to improve or maintain the appearance and health of patients’ skin, provides consultations and skincare recommendations, and supports patients before and after treatment. The role also involves patient education, referrals to providers when appropriate, hygienic upkeep of the work area, and accurate chart documentation.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Aesthetician experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be licensed in Maryland.
• Must be certified by an accredited aesthetic school.
• Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills.
• Friendly, professional, and well organized, with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of different skincare treatments and products.

Responsibilities

• Perform facial and body procedures, including facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, Hydrafacials, and Diamond Glow treatments.
• Conduct consultations and recommend skincare products.
• Follow up with patients after treatment to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
• Understand cosmetic procedures performed in the office and make appropriate referrals to providers.
• Educate patients about skincare and create individualized treatment plans for in-office care and home-care regimens.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and hygienic work area.
• Document accurately in patient charts according to office protocols.
