About The Position

AES-Onsite Field Service Technician II (R10098780) is responsible for servicing Chemical, Slurry, or Gas distribution equipment at a semiconductor company. The role requires working knowledge of specialty gas, chemical, and slurry product lines, with the ability to perform installations, commissioning, testing, retrofitting, and troubleshooting. The technician will also install and debug software and controls, collect and analyze equipment data, and identify and implement solutions to technical problems. This position involves working with both internal and external customers to resolve issues, ensuring minimal disruption to customer processes. The technician will also assist in training customer personnel and act as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues. The role requires a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused on complex new assignments.

Requirements

High School Diploma (or equivalent)
3+ years of related work experience in a related industry or from military service and technical training
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical problems
Understanding controls technology including the ability to debug controls, software problems, and install software
Experience in downloading and uploading GE/Emerson and AB Rockwell PLCs
Knowledge of commonly used business software and technical software specific to our equipment: Proficy Machine Edition, Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000 and Cimplicity
Knowledge of how SCADA is used with the Bulk Chemical and Gas Distribution systems
Understand Basic Electronics Principles and how to use a multimeter
Basic understanding Fluid Dynamics and how it governs fluid and gas flow
Ability to use math and computer skills to analyze data
Ability to use appropriate hand or power tools and solid knowledge of appropriate work practices and safe work procedures
Ability to speak distinctly and see and hear clearly
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to work in a clean-room environment
Ability to wear a respirator

Nice To Haves

Associate Degree in a technical discipline
Experience in the semiconductor industry
Experience in the industrial gas industry

Responsibilities

Maintain and install equipment where intermediate to advanced technical skills are required in hooking up, commissioning, testing, retrofitting, maintaining and troubleshooting chemical delivery equipment.
Install and debug software and controls.
Collect data and perform analysis on equipment to diagnose maintenance problems.
Identifies technical problems and implements solutions within the scope of capability to fully understand and safely implement repairs.
Works with customers both internal and external to identify issues and resolve them.
Completes tasks in a timely manner that results in minimal loss of time and money due to error for both the customer and AES.
For all work undertaken analyzes means of repair and ensures appropriate secondary planning to minimize any interruption to customer processes.
Understanding of and the ability to operate and install auxiliary equipment.
Assist in training customer personnel.
Performs other duties as assigned or as necessary to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
