LLNLLivermore, CA
$146,340 - $222,564Hybrid

About The Position

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking an Aerothermal and Trajectory Analyst to support hypersonics and reentry systems within the Flight Performance Integration (FPI) program. This role involves modeling and simulation of hypersonic re-entry bodies, conducting early feasibility studies, supporting flight testing, and developing software. The analyst will create engineering solutions for aerodynamics and aerothermal analysis, from systems requirements trade studies through algorithm design and hardware integration, including test data analysis. This position is within the Computational Engineering Division (CED) of the Engineering Directorate. Depending on the assignment, this position may offer a Hybrid schedule, allowing for a blend of in-person and virtual work, with the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week. The position can be filled at either the SES.2 or SES.3 level, based on the candidate's knowledge and experience.
