About The Position

Stoke Space is seeking to hire full-time Entry Level Aerospace Technicians (ELAT) in our new Kent facility. This role is designed for individuals to grow with the company while assisting with a multitude of tasks across the organization that will require focus, attention to detail, and passion. Through this role, you will work with and support the operations and manufacturing groups while having the opportunity to learn new skills in machining, fabricating, assembly, and other manufacturing disciplines at an up-and-coming aerospace manufacturing company. This Entry Level position will receive dedicated mentorship from highly experienced technicians and 1:1 training on a multitude of industrial processes in a safe and friendly working environment. This position is for a 36-week period to start, split into 3 phases of 12 weeks each. Advancement to the next phase will be considered at the conclusion of each 12-week period. Full-time employment will be considered for each employee at the conclusion of this 36-week period. Your first three months will be spent in a support function, supporting the operations and facilities departments. With measured success, you will graduate into a technical function, working with the manufacturing teams to choose one of two technical pathways: assembly or fabrication. You will then spend six months, in two three-month rotations, learning new technical skills with the manufacturing teams. Through each three-month rotation, you will be provided the tools, training, and a mentor that will aid in your success. Requirements

  • HS Diploma (or equivalent) completed or in-progress
  • 18+ years old
  • Safe working habits with attention to detail
  • Experience with hand tools and mechanical assemblies
  • Passion for learning new skills and desire to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted
  • Able to stand for extended periods
  • Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces
  • Able to withstand repetitive movements, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting
  • U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous exposure to machining, welding, or mechanical assemblies
  • Forklift experience
