About The Position

Ryder is hiring an Aerospace Team Lead in Foley, Alabama. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about. Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products being handled include Aerospace (airplane parts). Equipment used includes powered industrial equipment, forklifts, and computers. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership skills
• Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational skills
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision
• Proactively approaches responsibilities

• Working using health and safety methods
• Bilingual (For Québec locations only)

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in providing appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology, and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
