About The Position

The Aerospace Systems Engineer III will develop the fault management and system autonomy (FMSA) architecture for Blue Ring, with emphasis on associated processes, products, and analyses across all mission phases. The role supports fault protection and system autonomy requirements development, testing, validation, and verification. It requires close collaboration with the Blue Ring spacecraft Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) team and the broader program, as well as technical leadership, sound judgment, and commitment to high technical standards. Blue Ring is an all-in-one hybrid solar-electric and chemical-propelled spacecraft developed within Blue Origin’s Blue National Security business unit. The team works on spacecraft systems for national security missions and aims to increase on-orbit mobility and space infrastructure. The position contributes to safe, reliable spaceflight and innovative engineering solutions.
