Aerospace Systems Engineer II

Electric Power Systems•North Logan, UT

About The Position

Electric Power Systems (EPS) designs and delivers advanced energy storage systems for aerospace, defense, and other demanding mobility applications, including military applications. The Aerospace Systems Engineer II works from EPS headquarters in North Logan, Utah, connecting system requirements, integration, testing, and documentation throughout the product lifecycle. The engineer researches and develops requirements for aerospace and defense systems, follows them through validation and verification, and works directly with customers to integrate EPS battery systems into vehicles. The role supports flight testing and data analysis and produces and maintains system requirements, interface descriptions, block diagrams, schematics, and test protocols. It also requires staying current with federal aerospace regulations, industry specifications, and safety standards. The position participates in technical interchange meetings, reports progress on master schedule tasks, reviews documents, resolves systems integration issues, and may contribute to proposals. As a level II engineer, the role guides junior engineers, reviews their work, and helps improve engineering processes across product development, system integration, and manufacturing efficiency. Success requires strong communication and collaboration with teammates, senior leaders, regulators, industry experts, and customer and cross-functional teams.
