Our team is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support the development, verification, and certification of critical systems enabling NASA’s Low-Earth Orbit and Lunar surface missions. In this role, you will perform reliability engineering assessments across system lifecycles, including requirements evaluation, design maturity reviews, operational concepts, early safety and reliability products, and reliability certification of Axiom hardware and mission-support systems. This position supports Axiom engineering and program leadership, NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) Safety & Mission Assurance (SMA) Directorate, the Extravehicular Activity and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP), and various ISS, and Lunar program office stakeholders. In this position you will be expected to become fully knowledgeable of system requirements, functional architectures, mission profiles, and operational scenarios for Axiom-managed spaceflight systems and EVA-related hardware. Core responsibilities include developing and assuring reliability and risk analyses (such as FMEAs, fault trees, and reliability models), performing hazard/risk assessments, and presenting reliability positions at program boards, technical reviews, and SMA panels. This role requires frequent communication with Axiom leadership, NASA stakeholders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Reliability Engineers will function as integral members of Axiom’s systems engineering, safety, and mission assurance communities.
