About The Position

Shape the quality backbone of aerospace parts in Elk Grove Village At TekPro, we partner with top-tier manufacturers across Chicagoland. We’re seeking an Aerospace Quality Systems Engineer to support a well-established aerospace components operation in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000 (DOE) A day in the life You start your morning reviewing yield and nonconformance trends, then huddle with production and engineering to align on the day’s priorities. Before lunch, you guide a root cause investigation and lock in corrective actions that prevent recurrence. The afternoon brings an audit readiness check against aerospace standards, updates to an inspection plan for a new part introduction, and a quick walk to the air-conditioned shop floor to validate a process improvement. You finish by closing out documentation and queuing up the next round of continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field
  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficiency with quality systems, problem-solving methods, and continuous improvement tools
  • Knowledge of inspection methodologies, documentation practices, and quality metrics

Nice To Haves

  • Background in aerospace components or other highly regulated industries (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Designing, deploying, and maintaining quality systems and procedures for aerospace component manufacturing
  • Driving structured root cause analysis and implementing effective CAPA to resolve quality issues
  • Preparing for and supporting customer and regulatory audits; ensuring alignment with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100)
  • Mining quality data to spot trends and prioritize continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partnering with engineering, operations, and supply chain to uphold product conformance
  • Building and refining inspection plans, documentation sets, and process validations
