About The Position

The Quality Engineer performs all aspects required for proper evaluation and resolution of quality related matters and technical issues that may arise during manufacturing and maintenance of turbine engine components, and to support activities related to quality system requirements compliance. Develop, track, and provide statistical analysis, reports and metrics for quality related activities.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years relevant work experience as a quality engineer
  • Six Sigma, 8D, or root cause analysis experience using statistical analysis tools
  • Certification process experience (i.e. ISO9001:2008, AS9100/9110) FAA Part 145, FAA Part 21, CAAC, CAA, Military
  • Knowledge of QDAS system.
  • Proficient in Excel, Minitab, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Power Bi
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Familiar with navigation of OEM Engine Manuals

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, or other related field) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications and confer with engineering staff to determine quality standards.
  • Prepare corrective action responses, 8D problem solving for permanent corrective actions, and lead problem solving activities.
  • Manage internal and customer drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrate and deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring timely release of control of configuration management documents.
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Actively support Cost-Out, Scrap/Rework reduction & improved First Pass Yield site goals and objectives
