The position requires a High School diploma/GED and a range of experience in quality inspection or aircraft manufacturing. Responsibilities include utilizing engineering drawings and orders, performing various types of inspections (preliminary, progressive, final, conformity, first article), verifying functional operations, inspecting for FOD, documenting manufacturing process steps, ensuring compliance with FAA approved procedures, and maintaining the proper use and storage of tools and equipment. The role also emphasizes safety, risk reduction, and participation in safety investigations. For Level II, additional responsibilities include providing on-the-job training, coordinating inspection workload, acting as MRB signature authority, and leading continuous improvement activities. Proficiency in CATIA or blueprint reading and interpretation is essential.
