As an Aerospace Materials Process Engineer and Digital Twin Lead, you will be responsible for developing plant simulation and troubleshooting plant process systems including the implementation of process strategies, identifying and optimizing critical process variables, and maintaining process documentation. With a focus on the continuous improvement of manufacturing unit operations, we can achieve best-in-class safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer service standards.

Requirements

  • Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of plant simulation experience
  • Three (3) or more years of process manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in a chemical plant or discrete manufacturing operation.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean manufacturing and/or six sigma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be actively engaged in safety; participate in site safety programs and ensure operational discipline and compliance with both company and regulatory safety standards and requirements.
  • Provide engineering support to improve manufacturing unit operations process flows, process capability, production yields, overall cost of goods sold, equipment reliability, waste minimization, and EH&S improvements through data-based decision making.
  • Lead development of site digital twin and maintain model through future site expansions.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the manufacturing unit operations teams including the observation and analysis of production runs, root cause investigation of off-standard production runs, and the development of sustainable corrective actions.
  • Maintain and/or identify ways to improve the quality of our products, and adherence to quality standards, through continuous process improvement and operating procedure enhancement.
  • Be the technical liaison between new product development initiatives and the integration of them into manufacturing unit operations.
  • Conduct new process evaluation / optimization projects, process capability studies, process safety reviews, and process DOEs.
  • Provide backup to the applicable operations unit manager and/or production supervisor relating to production reporting, decision-making, and directing the work of department employees during any absences.
