About The Position

Eaton's Bethel, CT facility is a premier manufacturer in the aerospace industry specializing with creating components for commercial, military, and space technologies. The Manufacturing Tech will build electro-mechanical switches and calibrate and test them. You’ll work hands-on with specialized test equipment, follow detailed blueprints and work instructions, and maintain accurate quality records to ensure products meet strict industry and customer standards. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a in a manufacturing environment.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • Ability to work using a microscope.
  • Basic knowledge of quality standards.
  • Basic knowledge of written instructions, visual aids, sketches, and blueprints.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel/Word)

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, calibrate and thermally compensate an electro/mechanical device
  • Perform final acceptance testing (ATP) on electro/mechanical pressure sensors by loading and unloading test stands, and recording values
  • Maintain quality records.
  • Follow customer and supplier requirements (blueprints, work instructions, etc.)
  • Assemble, setup and maintain tooling used to build product.
