About The Position

This is a temporary internship position for an Aerospace Intern under the COSMOS Contract. The intern will assist engineering and technical teams with project-related assignments, support data collection and analysis, participate in project discussions, and prepare technical reports. The role involves utilizing industry-standard software, supporting configuration management, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams while adhering to safety and quality requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of at least 40 credit hours at an accredited college or university.
Currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or advanced degree.
Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a similar STEM discipline.
Interest in human spaceflight, aerospace systems, robotics, mission operations, or related technical disciplines.
Experience with engineering coursework, laboratory projects, design projects, or research activities.
Familiarity with engineering software, modeling tools, programming languages, or data analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

Assist engineering and technical teams with project-related assignments.
Support the collection, analysis, and documentation of technical data.
Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and project discussions.
Conduct research and prepare technical reports, presentations, and supporting documentation.
Assist with systems engineering, testing, modeling, simulation, or operational activities as assigned.
Utilize industry-standard software tools to perform analyses and document findings.
Support configuration management and document control processes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
Adhere to NASA, customer, and company safety, security, and quality requirements.
Complete assigned tasks within established schedules and performance expectations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
