About The Position

PPG is seeking an accomplished sales professional for the Aerospace Account Manager - Aftermarket role within its Aerospace division. This position is responsible for achieving all sales and market goals for an assigned region in the South Eastern United States through direct sales, ensuring product performance, and managing the complete sales process for major accounts. The role is fully remote within the Southeastern United States and reports to the Sales Director OEM and Aftermarket.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in an outside sales position.
  • Experience with Aerospace or Automotive parts and assemblies preferred.
  • Prior experience working for a matrixed organization.
  • Travel up to 20% throughout North America and worldwide to support customers.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance, have access to a personal vehicle that meets PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program requirements, and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine comprehensive account plans to grow sales and margin improvements for all assigned accounts and prospects.
  • Rigorously document, maintain and execute commercial opportunity pipeline using structured CRM data to foster organic growth.
  • Act as the primary catalyst to build and sustain multi-level, multi-functional relationships within customer organizations, including procurement, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and executive leadership.
  • Identify shifts in customer demand, regulatory and product/service requirements and communicate implications and opportunities to leadership.
  • Drive systematic prospecting efforts to expand customer base, penetrate new programs, and secure specifications on new aircraft platforms and derivative programs.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract development with customers to secure profitable, sustainable growth while aligning with corporate pricing, margin, and risk guidelines.
  • Develop accurate, bottoms-up sales forecasts by customer, product line, program, and platform; ensure alignment with S&O planning.
  • Leverage deep understanding of aerospace coatings and sealants, including technical specifications, application processes, and industry standards, to support customers in product selection and usage.
  • Lead the commercial interface for new technology adoption, guiding opportunities through evaluation, qualification, specification, and production launch phases.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, operations, supply chain, and technical teams.
