About The Position

You will be the Aeronautical Engineering Sr Stf for the F‑35 Subsystem Design Team which is responsible for delivering innovative subsystem solutions for the F‑35 fleet. As the Aeronautical Engineering Sr Stf you will be responsible for leading the design and integration of aircraft subsystems, ensuring robust solutions across mechanical, electrical, and multi‑disciplinary domains.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical
• Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
• Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills
• MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
• The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CATIA V5
• Experience with metallic and composite design
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• PDM Tool Familiarization

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and design synthesis across multiple design teams.
• Perform electrical design, including system‑interface integration, wire harness, fiber‑optic harness, and coaxial cable definition.
• Create and maintain 3‑D CATIA models, assemblies, and related system‑requirement drawings.
• Conduct multi‑disciplinary system trade studies to optimize performance.
• Mentor early‑career engineers and champion One‑LM culture across cross‑functional teams.
