About The Position

You will be the Aeronautical Engineering Mgr for the Air Mobility & Maritime Mission Center Fuselage Design Program Functional Team (PFT) which is responsible for delivering high‑performance aircraft structures and system installations. What You Will Be Doing As the Aeronautical Engineering Mgr you will be responsible for leading the technical direction, budgetary control, and schedule execution of all structural design and system‑integration activities within the team. You will partner with Business Development, ADP I&D, and production operations to turn concepts into validated solutions. Your responsibilities will include: Direct structural design and system installation across all active programs. Oversee technical, budgetary, and schedule aspects of design studies, corrective‑action investigations, and production support. Coordinate proposal and ECP activities, delivering accurate quotes and supporting new‑business pursuits. Manage personnel processes, including staffing, Atlas Perform, performance recognition, and manpower planning. Ensure compliance with configuration‑management practices and drive affordability initiatives. Who You Are You are a highly motivated engineering leader with broad design and manufacturing experience, preferably on C‑130, C‑5, P‑3 or S‑3 platforms. You excel at motivating small and large technical teams, navigating complex stakeholder environments, and communicating clearly both orally and in writing. Your background in configuration management and a proven record of technical and business excellence make you a perfect fit for this pivotal role. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Experience managing team of employees
  • Good working knowledge of the Earned Value System
  • Good knowledge of structural design and configuration management
  • Bachelor of Science (Engineering) degree with 8+ years relevant aerospace design experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Structural design and configuration management experience in AMMM products (C-130, C-5, P-3 or S-3)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience desired
