About The Position

You will be the Aeronautical Engineering Mgr for the Air Mobility & Maritime Mission Aft Fuselage/Empennage and Wing Design Program Functional Team (PFT) which is responsible for delivering cutting‑edge aircraft structural solutions. What You Will Be Doing As the Aeronautical Engineering Mgr you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team that drives technical excellence, on‑time delivery, and cost‑effective design across multiple airframe programs. Your responsibilities will include: Direct structural design and system installation for all active programs. Oversee technical, budgetary, and schedule aspects of design studies, layouts, and corrective‑action investigations. Lead proposal and ECP coordination, supporting business development and IRAD initiatives. Manage vendor and production‑support activities to ensure on‑time delivery and contract execution. Drive personnel processes including staffing, performance recognition, and configuration‑management support. Who You Are You are a highly motivated engineering leader with deep experience in airframe structural design, budget and schedule control, and team development. You excel at communicating complex technical concepts clearly, motivating diverse talent, and championing configuration‑management discipline. Your background with platforms such as C‑130, C‑5, P‑3, or S‑3 makes you uniquely qualified to elevate this team’s performance. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Experience managing team of employees
  • Good working knowledge of the Earned Value System
  • Good knowledge of structural design and configuration management
  • Bachelor of Science (Engineering) degree with 8+ years relevant aerospace design experience.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Structural design and configuration management experience in AMMM products (C-130, C-5, P-3 or S-3)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience desired
