About The Position

You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Senior Staff for the Landing Gear Systems team which is responsible for delivering high‑performance landing‑gear solutions for F‑35, IFG, Advanced Design, and Arresting Gear programs. As the Aeronautical Engineer Senior Staff you will be responsible for providing expert engineering support across design, manufacturing, sustainment, and affordability initiatives for critical landing‑gear systems.

Requirements

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
The selected candidate must possess an active Interim Secret clearance to start.
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
Experience with CATIA.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Candidate must work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations.
Strong mechanical ability with desire to build root cause investigation skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to develop clear technical presentations for customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

Design, analyze, and support manufacturing of landing‑gear components for F‑35, IFG, Advanced Design, and Arresting Gear systems.
Coordinate technical integration with landing‑gear vendors and align efforts with the Program Office.
Lead sustainment activities by evaluating field component issues, conducting root‑cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Manage Class I and II change processes to ensure design modifications meet safety and performance requirements.
Drive affordability initiatives by identifying cost‑saving opportunities and supporting trade‑off studies.
