About The Position

This position involves performing professional tree maintenance activities, focusing on clearing and trimming trees and brush away from utility lines. The role requires adherence to safe practices, assisting with daily preparations, and maintaining tools and equipment. Continuous improvement of climbing and tree maintenance skills is expected, along with a willingness to help other crew members. A key aspect of the job is ensuring the safety of employees and the public by enforcing safe practices, maintaining a clean work area, and communicating effectively with coworkers. The role may also involve storm work as needed.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s license required.
Must meet I-9 requirements.
Position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.

Nice To Haves

Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform professional tree maintenance activities as directed.
Clear and trim trees and brush away from utility lines; remove branches and trees.
Clean up and dispose of all debris.
Maintain and keep track of all tools and equipment used in daily operations.
Constantly observe and practice climbing and tree maintenance skills in a continued effort to improve your own professional skills.
Be ready and willing to assist other crew members in all aspects of daily operations.
Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area by enforcing safe job practices, keeping work area clean and orderly, and staying in frequent voice communication with co-workers.
Perform duties for storm work as needed.
