About The Position

This is a full-time position focused on performing professional tree maintenance activities, specifically clearing and trimming trees and brush away from utility lines. The role involves ensuring safety practices are followed, assisting with daily preparations, cleaning up work areas, and maintaining tools and equipment. Continuous improvement of climbing and tree maintenance skills is expected, along with a willingness to assist other crew members. Safeguarding employees and the public from hazards is a key responsibility, as is performing duties for storm work when needed.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s license required.
Must meet I-9 requirements.
Position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform professional tree maintenance activities as directed by Foreperson’s
Clear and trim trees and brush away from utility lines; remove branches and tree
Clean up and dispose of all
Maintain and keep track of all tools and equipment used in daily
Constantly observe and practice climbing and tree maintenance skills in a continued effort to improve your own professional skills.
Be ready and willing to assist other crew members in all aspects of daily
Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area by enforcing safe job practices, keeping work area clean and orderly, and staying in frequent voice communication with co-workers.
Perform duties for storm work as needed.
