About The Position
This position involves performing professional tree maintenance activities as directed, focusing on clearing and trimming trees and brush away from utility lines. The role requires cleaning up and disposing of debris, maintaining tools and equipment, and continuously improving climbing and tree maintenance skills. The Aerial Lift Trimmer will also assist other crew members, safeguard employees and the public by enforcing safe job practices, and perform duties for storm work as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s license required.
- Must meet I-9 requirements.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
- CDL preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional tree maintenance activities as directed.
- Clear and trim trees and brush away from utility lines.
- Remove branches and trees.
- Clean up and dispose of all debris.
- Maintain and keep track of all tools and equipment used in daily operations.
- Constantly observe and practice climbing and tree maintenance skills in a continued effort to improve professional skills.
- Assist other crew members in all aspects of daily operations.
- Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area by enforcing safe job practices, keeping work area clean and orderly, and staying in frequent voice communication with co-workers.
- Perform duties for storm work as needed.
