About The Position

Parsons is looking for an AEGIS Systems Engineer to join their team in Guam. This role involves being part of a professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers, and contract staff focused on delivering missile defense capability to the Fleet. The position is also part of a team of highly skilled engineers and scientists. The engineer will execute strategic planning, procurement, and integration of Aegis Weapon System equipment for the Aegis Guam System (AGS), integrating it as an element within the Defense of Guam system of systems. Responsibilities include leading coordination for integration, testing, and deployment, managing the AGS Sites Equipment List (SEL), developing Statements of Work (SOWs), and coordinating with various stakeholders for timely and cost-effective procurement of critical hardware. The role also involves spearheading technical interchange meetings, conducting risk assessments, analyzing equipment and facility design, and verifying equipment placement.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Mastery of MS Office suite
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or Teams
  • Aegis Weapon System Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Prior experience with Weapons Systems Deployment
  • Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
  • Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the strategic planning, procurement, and integration of all Aegis Weapon System equipment required for the Aegis Guam System (AGS).
  • Responsible for integration and support as an element within the Defense of Guam system of systems.
  • Lead the coordination for integration, test, and deployment, from initial deployment to operational installation configurations and upcoming installations.
  • Manage the AGS Sites Equipment List (SEL).
  • Develop and review Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Coordinate with Program Acquisition Resource Managers (PARMs), prime contractors, and various government agencies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of critical hardware.
  • Spearhead technical interchange meetings to ensure AGS equipment is properly integrated into site facilities.
  • Conduct risk assessments for hardware and logistics.
  • Analyze courses of action for equipment and facility design.
  • Provide equipment placement verification for optimal employment.
