About The Position

Mobius is seeking a Test Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Aegis Based Defense Test Directorate (ABT). This is a high performing operational team in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The role involves working with multiple mission stakeholders in planning, coordinating, integrating, and executing Aegis Based Defense Ground Tests. The engineer will collaborate with MDA, military services, other government agencies, and contractor personnel to support test execution. Responsibilities include assisting in test readiness reviews, identifying, generating, and managing schedules, requirements, and other documentation for ground test operations, and preparing test execution materials for countdown events. Additionally, the role requires preparing decision-quality materials such as briefings and supporting documentation for senior-level reviews and mission milestone meetings.

Requirements

  • 7 years’ relevant experience
  • US Navy background/experience (such as Aegis Weapons System knowledge)
  • Capable of working as a team member to solve engineering problems.
  • Possesses general technical and theoretical knowledge of the DoD principles of developmental and operational testing and the verification and validation activities of the engineering V, system test and integration, strategic planning, and/or process improvements
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's of Science in an engineering field

Responsibilities

  • Work with multiple mission stakeholders in planning, coordinating, integrating, and executing Aegis Based Defense Ground Tests.
  • Collaborate with MDA, military services, other government agencies, and contractor personnel to support test execution.
  • Assist in test readiness reviews; identify, generate and manage schedules, requirements and other documentation in support of ground test operations.
  • Prepare test execution materials used during countdown events.
  • Prepare decision-quality materials such as briefings and supporting documentation (white papers, fact sheets, status reports, progress reports, and information papers) for senior level reviews and mission milestone meetings.
  • Provide test engineering support on systems, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices and/or processes for developmental and operational weapon system programs during developmental and operational test events, including flight, HWIL, and operational environments.
  • Work as a member of team to solve test planning, integration, execution, and analysis problems.
  • Prioritize activities and efficiently perform multiple tasks.
