The Advocate - Survivor Services provides trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and comprehensive advocacy services to individuals impacted by homicide and other violent crimes, domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual abuse, and other traumatic experiences. This role also supports individuals experiencing acute crisis, including mental health emergencies and Child Welfare Emergency Services calls, within the communities served. This position participates in a 24-hour crisis on-call rotation serving designated counties in Iowa (Jackson, Clinton, Scott, Muscatine, and Louisa). Flexibility in scheduling is required, as work hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet survivors and program needs. Reliable transportation and current auto insurance are required. This position works closely with law enforcement and regional crisis response partners to ensure coordinated, timely, and effective support that prioritizes safety, autonomy, dignity, and respect. All responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the Supervisor – Survivor Services and in alignment with Family Resources’ mission, values, and policies.
