About The Position
The Real Estate Valuation & Business Analytics Associate works within a team to assist with commercial real estate analytical, valuation, consulting, and other business advisory services for developers, REITs, investors, financial institutions, hospitality companies, lenders, and Fortune 500 companies. The role contributes to various stages of valuation engagements, including specialized valuation of owner-occupied and multi-tenant properties for financial reporting. The position involves researching and analyzing property and client data, developing valuation models, preparing client deliverables and narrative reports, and supporting the documentation and administration of valuation assignments. Associates also participate in internal and external client meetings and perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Superior analytical skills and ability to deconstruct complex issues.
- Ability to adapt to computer systems and technology.
- Ability to analyze and organize high volumes of data.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and work independently or within a group environment.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interact successfully with professionals at all levels.
- Basic understanding of real estate.

- Master’s degree in Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
- Internship or work-study experience in valuation, corporate finance, or an accounting environment.
- Real estate appraisal certification.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating valuation assignments by conducting research and due diligence for real estate valuations and reviews.
- Analyze large datasets using mass appraisal techniques.
- Construct valuation models.
- Assist with preparing client deliverables.
- Research property-specific details and manage internal records.
- Assist in structuring documentation associated with valuation assignments.
- Abstract legal documents related to transfers of ownership and leased properties.
- Assist with loading client data into databases for analysis.
- Cross-reference data from various sources.
- Compose narrative reports supporting valuation analyses.
- Participate in external and internal client meetings.
- Perform other duties as required.
