About The Position

SPI Health and Safety is seeking an Advisor - Trainer with expertise in confined space, work at heights, and lockout-tagout. This role involves acting as an advisor and trainer for customers' employees on OHS matters, delivering theoretical and practical training sessions, and serving as an expert and partner to clients. The position requires planning and managing mandates, providing field expertise in confined space risk analysis and lockout procedures, and participating in mandate evaluation and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will maintain up-to-date knowledge in their field and develop knowledge in other areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations or certificate in health and safety or equivalent experience
  • Regular travel throughout the province of Quebec and available to travel across Canada
  • Knowledge of confined spaces and/or lockout, a definite asset
  • Bilingualism, a definite asset
  • Occasional need to work evenings and weekends
  • Must legally be permitted to work in Canada, without any additional sponsorship support

Responsibilities

  • Deliver theoretical and practical training sessions on targeted topics
  • Act as an expert and partner for our customers
  • Plan and manage mandates in collaboration with consulting coordinators
  • Responsible for field expertise in confined space risk analysis and lockout (data sheet drafting, programs, etc.)
  • Participate in the evaluation of mandates with the business development team
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of mandates
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in their field of expertise
  • Develop knowledge on various topics outside their area of expertise
