Your role in our mission Lead the development and modernization of healthcare claims solutions at Gainwell. We’re looking for a hands-on software development lead who can mentor engineers, drive technical delivery, and partner across teams to build reliable, high-quality systems.

Requirements

9+ years of software development experience, including technical leadership
Strong background in C, Unix/Linux, SQL, and system integration
Experience leading development teams and delivering enterprise applications
Healthcare claims experience required; Gainwell Interchange preferred
Knowledge of SDLC, release management, and modern engineering practices

Nice To Haves

Experience with multiple claims bundling/editing software platforms is desired
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Experience with cloud platforms and DevOps practices is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor software engineers to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
Own technical delivery across the software development lifecycle, from design through release and support.
Guide architecture, development, and modernization of C/Unix-based healthcare claims applications.
Partner with product, business, and operations teams to align solutions with client needs.
Drive engineering excellence through code quality, testing, release readiness, and continuous improvement.
