About The Position

As an Advisor II, Application Development at Phillips 66, you will build and support digital applications that help teams work more efficiently, securely, and reliably. You will work across technology and business teams to turn requirements into practical solutions that support business operations.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 or more years of experience in application development, software maintenance, or related IT roles.
• Beginner or higher proficiency in designing, debugging, and supporting application software.
• Beginner or higher proficiency with testing processes, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Beginner or higher proficiency supporting or integrating with databases, APIs, or third-party systems.

Nice To Haves

• 3 or more years of experience in software development.
• Oil and Gas industry experience, particularly in Refining operations.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of standard support concepts, practices, and procedures related to cloud technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS for application hosting, deployment, and integration.
• Exposure to agentic AI development, including building or integrating AI agents and automation into applications and workflows.
• Expertise in automating testing, monitoring, alerting, and security scans.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications that support Refining.
• Collaborate with project teams, business analysts, enterprise architects, database administrators, and other developers to design and implement solutions for business challenges.
• Automate processes and workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure solutions meet or exceed compliance and audit requirements.
• Apply agile development methodologies and best practices.
