About The Position

As an Advisor Experience Consultant, you will serve as a dedicated relationship partner to our advisors, delivering exceptional service, operational guidance, and support and resources needed to grow their business and deliver excellent client outcomes. The Consultant independently manages advisor relationships, resolves moderately complex issues, and collaborates cross-functionally to enhance the overall advisor experience. This position reports to the Director – Inside Sales, Head of Training and Advisor Experience and will be based out of our home office in Topeka, Kansas. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, communications, or related field preferred.
  • 4-8 years of experience in Sales and Service or Administration environment with extensive knowledge of annuity and/or mutual fund business preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of annuities, mutual fund custodial platforms, brokerage/advisory accounts, and regulatory considerations.
  • Ability to work independently with strong initiative and motivation with excellent follow-through.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to shape outcomes and build trust.
  • Possess strong customer service and relationship building skills with the ability to interact positively and successfully with all levels of staff and management to meet business needs.
  • Willingness to develop a broad understanding of products, services, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws for effective performance.
  • A team player who enjoys collaboration and able to facilitate the resolution of issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact for assigned advisors for operational support.
  • Develop trusted relationships by understanding advisor business models, goals, and service needs.
  • Resolve more complex operational, product, and platform-related inquiries quickly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Technology, and Compliance to address escalations.
  • Proactively engage with advisors to provide best practices and insights to enhance productivity and satisfaction.
  • Assist advisors on key systems and advisor tools, including trading systems, websites and account workflows.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and guide advisors on feature usage and workflow optimization.
  • Share system feedback with internal teams.
  • Ensure all activities meet regulatory guidelines, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and client information.
  • Stay current on compliance policies, industry regulations, and firm protocols.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions for new advisors, ensuring strong understanding of tools, processes, and support resources.
  • Build trusted relationships with advisor teams; understand their businesses and proactively identify opportunities to support growth and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a liaison between advisors and internal departments to anticipate needs and streamline interactions.
  • Identify recurring service trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Capture advisor feedback to inform enhancements to systems, workflows, and tools.
  • Provide training and support on platforms, tools, and business initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Advisor Experience program by sharing ideas, trends, and opportunities for innovation.
