About The Position

As an Environment Advisor, you will support the company’s efforts in implementing strategic plans and procedures in support of the U.S. Liquids Pipelines (LP) Tanks program, coordinating with multiple waste vendors and contractors, and coordinating environmental permitting related to U.S. LP tanks across the United States. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in environmental permitting, waste management, and data management including monitoring progress, reporting on results, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or post-secondary degree in an environmental, engineering or related field. Experience in lieu of degree is allowed.
  • 4+ years of related environmental experience, preferably in pipeline, industry, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations, scientific and technical concepts, including Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and environmental protection best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently, with excellent organizational skills and minimal supervision.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships across employees, leadership, regulators, contractors, vendors, and the public.
  • Demonstrated initiative, integrity, and collaboration, with the ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams.
  • A valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required, which will be validated before hire.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee environmental permitting, waste management, data management, and construction support processes, such as environmental inspection or monitoring, compliance documentation process and procedures, and ongoing technical support for various projects under the U.S. LP Tanks program.
  • Provide direct support, advice and assistance to Engineering, Construction Services, Business Development, Law and others for all phases of the development and execution of various projects and/or programs.
  • Conduct environmental awareness training and outreach efforts.
  • Establish systems for regulatory compliance, develop or recommend procedures, provide guidance and relevant written resources or support materials.
  • Provide support, monitor, and coordinate the storage, sampling, labeling, waste characterization, transport, and disposal of non-hazardous and hazardous wastes, and special wastes for the U.S. LP Tanks program.
