Saving children.® The Advisor – Direct Response, One-Time Giving is responsible for developing, leading, and advising on strategic recommendations for direct response fundraising and awareness campaigns. This role provides end-to-end ownership of assigned marketing programs—primarily supporting one-time giving efforts, including Insert Media and Acknowledgement mail—with accountability for strategy, execution, performance, and budget management. This position operates as a subject matter expert, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional partners to drive innovative, data-informed solutions that enhance donor engagement, revenue, and overall program effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 5–6 years of relevant experience in direct marketing, fundraising, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of direct marketing and fundraising best practices, with ability to ensure brand integrity and campaign effectiveness.
  • Proven ability to develop and advise on strategy—not just execute campaigns.
  • Analytical aptitude with experience collecting, interpreting, and applying data to drive decisions and performance improvements.
  • Understanding of omni-channel marketing and integration across direct mail, digital, social, and mobile platforms.
  • Experience managing marketing programs against financial targets, including revenue and expense budgets.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex workflows.
  • Knowledge of production processes, print procurement, inventory management, and fulfillment operations (nonprofit experience a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead strategic recommendations for direct response campaigns supporting one-time giving, including acquisition, retention, and reactivation efforts.
  • Own end-to-end execution of assigned marketing programs from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment with enterprise fundraising and audience goals.
  • Shape program direction by connecting campaign tactics to broader donor lifecycle and revenue strategies.
  • Identify and implement innovative approaches, including segmentation, creative optimization, and multi-channel integration.
  • Analyze campaign and program performance to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations that enhance campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Monitor and manage program performance against revenue and expense targets.
  • Partner with internal teams (marketing, analytics, operations, supply chain) and external vendors to execute campaigns and deliver business solutions.
  • Lead work across teams through influence, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Effectively communicate recommendations, performance insights, and strategic direction to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Oversee operational aspects of campaigns including pricing analysis, workflow management, production, inventory control, mail fulfillment, and delivery tracking.
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely execution across all campaign elements.
  • Provide ongoing project management to ensure successful development and implementation of key initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
  • Manage and forecast budgets for assigned campaigns, balancing revenue goals and expense targets.
  • Partner with leadership to align program investments with strategic priorities.
  • Provide oversight on inventory, sourcing, and fulfillment processes in collaboration with supply chain partners.
  • Represent the team in cross-divisional meetings and initiatives as needed.
  • Uphold and promote ALSAC’s mission and brand in all internal and external interactions.
