About The Position

Merrill Wealth Management is a leading provider of comprehensive wealth management and investment products and services, specializing in goals-based wealth management for individuals, companies, and institutions. Merrill's Financial Advisors and Wealth Management Client Associates help clients achieve their financial goals through personal relationships and access to Merrill's investment insights and Bank of America's banking convenience. The company is committed to an in-office culture with specific attendance requirements, while also valuing diversity and unique perspectives among its employees and clients. This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, necessitating registration with the federal registry system and a background check. Failure to maintain registration may result in termination. The role is also restricted by FDIC, Safe Act, Loan Originators, and FINRA regulations regarding criminal history. As an Advisor Development Program Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (ADP FSA I), the journey begins with obtaining Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 Exams) with dedicated study time. Upon licensure, the trainee will learn foundational advisor skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships, understanding complex financial pictures, and guiding clients with advice and solutions. The role involves humanizing financial interactions and delivering Bank of America's core banking and investment solutions. Successful ADP FSA I individuals typically progress to a Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (MFSA) role in a local Merrill Wealth Management office, where they build a portfolio of affluent and high net worth clients. The ultimate goal is to become a core Merrill Financial Advisor, with support from The Academy throughout the career journey.
