About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an Audiovisual and Creative Content Manager to join our 360-degree communications team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work closely with the A220 management team at Airbus in Canada and the Airbus communications team based in Toulouse. Reporting to the Senior Director, Communications, you will be part of the communications team responsible for internal and external communications, A220 product communications, Airbus’s brand image in Canada, events, and community engagement. The team is organized to promote cross-functional collaboration through autonomy, mutual support, and collective learning. The Audiovisual and Creative Content Manager is a central pillar of Airbus Canada’s overall communications strategy, working at the heart of the Airbus communications team in Canada. This person’s primary role is to bring the story of Airbus Canada and its iconic products, such as the A220, to life by designing impactful and innovative audiovisual and creative content. This position requires a unique combination of creative, technical, and organizational skills, as well as an excellent understanding of the industrial environment and communication challenges faced by a company of Airbus Canada’s stature.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communications and/or Marketing or any other relevant audiovisual background (DEC/College Degree in audiovisual production, film production, etc.)—combined with relevant experience.
  • Possess a combination of technical, creative, and interpersonal skills.
  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in 360-degree audiovisual production (from pre-production to post-production).
  • Experience in brand management and/or digital communications.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Creativity and Innovation Capability.
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Airbus Canada’s audiovisual strategy in alignment with overall communication objectives.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of creative projects, from the initial concept to final distribution.
  • Produce coherent and impactful visual narratives that showcase the A220 and all of Airbus’s activities in Canada on the global stage, targeting both external audiences and employees.
  • Work closely with various internal teams—communications, marketing, engineering, and production—and clients (airlines based around the world) to understand their needs and transform complex technical information into clear and engaging visual narratives, perfectly tailored for a wide range of platforms and communication channels.
  • In collaboration with colleagues responsible for various communication channels, identify storytelling opportunities and relevant topics to showcase the company, its innovations, and its teams.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all visual content produced. This role includes advising and guiding the various A220 functions on creative and visual best practices to ensure impeccable brand consistency and strength.
  • Analyze content performance (views, engagement, reach, etc.) and adapt strategies based on data.
  • Coordinate and oversee the entire content creation process (promotional videos, interviews, internal documentaries, 3D animations, photography, etc.).
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and resources required for audiovisual production.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information, arrange access to production sites (assembly lines, paint shops, delivery centers, etc.), and coordinate content approval with international teams (Airbus sites in Europe, the United States, and other continents) and A220 customers.
  • Select and manage external partners (production agencies, directors, editors, photographers, motion designers) to ensure quality and adherence to deadlines.
  • Direct video shoots and photo sessions, including on-site management of equipment, lighting, and art direction.
  • Supervise or perform video editing, color grading, audio mixing, and the integration of animated graphics and visual effects to create high-quality productions.
  • Adapt content formats for various distribution platforms (websites, social media, internal/external events, internal information screens (Airbus TVs), etc.).
  • Organize, archive, and manage the Airbus audiovisual media library for Canada, ensuring clear naming conventions and easy access to content.
  • Ensure compliance with copyright laws, licenses, and privacy policies regarding images and videos.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in audiovisual production, technology (drones, virtual/augmented reality, etc.), and content strategies.
  • Propose innovative approaches to improve the quality and impact of the content produced.
