About The Position

The Advisor and Academic Services Manager is a part of the team responsible for managing the day-to-day academic services and advising operations related to the undergraduate and graduate degrees in Integrated Design & Media (IDM) within the Technology, Culture, and Society department. Advise students on issues such as curriculum requirements, course selection, registration, and career development. Responsible for the TCS Department’s communications and development initiatives, including the website, social media, and event promotion. Support TCS academic services and course scheduling. Support the management of grant budgets and supervise student staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related area
  • 5+ years experience in higher education, communications, operations, and program/project management, supervision, managing budgets or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft office + Google software, and be capable of working with program management, webinar hosting, and internal administrative software.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision, strong in follow-through skills, and be able to support relationships with internal and external university partners.
  • Experience with web publishing and CMS.
  • Detail-oriented and be able to prepare complex documents (such as course schedules) with minimal errors.
  • Quick learner to master new skills.

  • Master's Degree In art/design- field related to IDM
