About The Position

NBCUniversal is seeking motivated students for its Academic Year Internship Program, running from September 21, 2026, to April 23, 2027. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to work on real projects, contribute to meaningful work, and develop essential skills within a collaborative culture. Interns will gain hands-on experience in the media, entertainment, and technology sectors, with a focus on the Advertising & Partnerships division. This division connects NBCUniversal's content portfolio with advertisers, brand partners, and consumers through various business areas including Ad Sales, Advertising Product & Solutions, Strategy, Enterprise Marketing & Communications, and Platform Monetization. The program provides robust networking, learning, and professional development opportunities, along with a complimentary Peacock subscription, free admission to Universal Parks, and access to mental health resources.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027).
  • December 2026 graduates are not eligible for this Academic Year Internship Program.
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027.
  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
  • Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
  • NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number.
  • Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Excel and Outlook proficiency.
  • Interest of campaign management and client services.
  • Inquisitive and eager to learn.
  • For Strategy: Familiarity with statistical analysis tools like R, SPSS and/or SAS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drives advertising and revenue across NBCU’s linear, streaming, and social platforms by managing client and agency relationships, developing new business, and supporting the full sales process, advertising strategy, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Enhances effectiveness across Ad Sales by developing best practices, tools, and expertise that improve efficiency, innovation, and consistency.
  • Builds strong relationships with clients and aligns their business goals with NBCU’s full portfolio of media assets.
  • Supports the full advertising lifecycle—from campaign setup to billing—by working closely with Sales, Planning, and Finance to ensure accurate invoicing, manage account details, and resolve issues.
  • Uses research and data to guide big-picture decisions across content and advertising.
  • Leads and enhances the full Pitch-to-Pay lifecycle—spanning the creation and pricing of innovative offerings, seamless execution, and best-in-class customer support.
