About The Position

Guide Book Publishing, an industry leader since 1991, is seeking a strategic Advertising Account Executive. This role involves working with local businesses across 24 states to reach micro-communities through direct-mail advertising. The position offers a dynamic workflow where the team moves to new assignments every 2-3 weeks. Approximately 70% of the time is dedicated to high-energy outreach (phone, email, video meetings), 20% to market research, and 10% to contract execution. This is a remote role, with the requirement to return materials to the Post Office for shipment back to the Home Office.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of sales experience preferred (or equivalent education).
  • A self-starter who can manage their own schedule without being micromanaged.
  • Proficient in Excel, scanning, email, and PDF management.
  • Strong ability to calculate discounts and commissions accurately.
  • Persuasive verbal skills and clear, professional written communication.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and close new advertising partnerships to meet production goals.
  • Educate local business owners on the ROI of being featured in community guides and directories.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and operations staff to ensure an excellent experience.
  • Nurture and maintain large-scale accounts within your metro area.
  • Manage contracts and paperwork accurately and return assignment materials via USPS upon completion.
