About The Position

Adventure Maintenance at Anakeesta is a hands-on, safety-driven role focused on keeping our elevated adventure attractions operating smoothly and safely. As a Maintenance Technician supporting our zipline courses, treetop ventures, BirdVenture, SkyWalks, and similar attractions, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining structures, platforms, cables, and surrounding environments. This role requires problem-solving skills, comfort working at heights, and the ability to perform independent tasks in dynamic outdoor settings across varying weather conditions.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Minimum of two years of maintenance experience, preferably in outdoor, recreational, construction, or adventure-based environments.
  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools such as drills, saws, hammers, chain saws, rakes, and shovels.
  • Comfort working outdoors year-round and at elevated heights.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks independently.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as the park operates seven days a week.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., with team lifting for heavier items.
  • Comfortable working at heights and on elevated structures.
  • Ability to stand, climb, bend, and walk for extended periods on uneven and rugged terrain.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to safely lift, carry, and move materials independently and with team assistance when necessary.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching overhead.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and stairs.
  • Ability to safely handle heavy, bulky, or awkward items using proper lifting techniques and assistance as needed.
  • Capable of working in a physically demanding environment with frequent movement and manual labor activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on zipline systems, treetop platforms, bridges, railings, towers, and elevated walkways.
  • Assist with upkeep of BirdVenture enclosures, netting, fencing, and related structures.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment including 4-wheel drive vehicles, off-road vehicles, lifts, and golf carts.
  • Assist Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers, and other skilled trades with attraction-specific repairs and projects.
  • Perform minor electrical, plumbing, and structural repairs as needed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Support seasonal installations, attraction modifications, and special projects.
  • Work safely at various heights and on uneven terrain while following all safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support attraction operations.
