About The Position

In this role, you will lead strategy development of sourcing programs, educational course development, internal business units and client focused networking while partnering with management to identify and implement strategic initiatives that provide member value and drive contract commitment for smaller/rural hospitals across the United States. You will promote internal and / or external program optimization to deliver member and / or supplier value (e.g., sales enablement, revenue growth, contract utilization), and collaborate across the organization to ensure the appropriate internal and external parties are included in strategic conversations to address member / supplier needs.

Requirements

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Direct experience leading strategic sourcing activities for IDNs, acute hospitals and non-acute facilities, including surgery centers and long-term care facilities.
  • Experience leading large member group meetings and facilitating decision-making.
  • Member account management experience, including recruiting members to programs and increasing contract sales.
  • Supplier relationship coordination and experience fostering collaboration between member organizations and strategic suppliers.
  • Experience conducting and interpreting member spend analytics, including opportunity identification, tier enhancement qualification, market share consolidation review, savings valuation and contract utilization audit.
  • Experience in business process improvement.
  • Ability to partner and collaborate with all levels of the organization sufficient to identify business needs, diagnose gaps, and develop solutions to design strategies to meet business goals and objectives.
  • Authentic communicator with the ability to make purposeful decisions, effectively influence others and drive change.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite.

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Use of tools like Tableau beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy development and execution of program’s overarching structure, processes, and procedures; develop long-term program goals.
  • Develop promotional materials and training for programs; train internal and external stakeholders on program components.
  • Partner with contracting teams to influence the negotiation of contracts, drive contract utilization, and implement / onboard members into key programs; identify member and supplier targets for new business.
  • Research and identify opportunities for new value propositions and new capabilities.
  • Recommend and execute process improvements for assigned program (e.g., development, implementation).
  • Represent management in meetings and assist management with the resolution of escalated member /supplier issues and concerns.
  • Conduct periodic business reviews with key suppliers / distributors and members.
  • Partner with management to facilitate council and / or panel meetings to gather member feedback, contracting decisions, best practices, and provide direction for program strategies.
  • Establish and track program success metrics and deliverables.
  • Lead peers in the analysis of program success and communicates to management program achievements, opportunities, and challenges.
  • May track program revenue and sales and / or conduct market basket analysis to identify cost savings for members to convert business to Vizient programs.
  • Act as an operational liaison to field questions and provides strategic consultation to internal and external stakeholders for sales opportunities and communicating program impacts.
