About The Position

We are looking for a talented Advanced Warehouse Operator – level I to join our team specializing in Shop for our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount, NC. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Efficient Handling and Storage: By accurately receiving, sorting, labeling, and storing goods, you will optimize warehouse space and ensure smooth operations. Timely Dispatch: Picking, packing, and dispatching outgoing goods according to requests will help meet customer expectations and maintain workflow efficiency. Safety Compliance: Adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards and using appropriate personal protective equipment will promote a safe working environment. Quality Assurance: Performing quality checks and identifying non-conforming materials will help maintain high standards and minimize cost and quality issues. Equipment Operation: Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently will contribute to the overall productivity of the warehouse. Environmental Responsibility: Recognizing and minimizing the environmental impact of your work will support the company's sustainability goals. Team Collaboration: Communicating effectively with your team and participating in training and improvement initiatives will foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Housekeeping and Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and performing routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks will ensure a safe and efficient workspace.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Miminum of 2+ years of PIV experience required (Forklift, Tugger, Burden carrier, etc.).
  • Use PIV(SUFL, SDFL, Tugger) to move materials from the dock to the point of fit station.
  • Receive materials physically and systematically using Hand held terminal(HHT).
  • Monitor the usage of materials in the associated team to prevent any downtime and EOOP due to lack of material availability.
  • Material replenishment at the station.
  • Housekeeping responsibilities associated with Team.
  • Receive the shift demand report for the assigned team and thoroughly check the contents of the list at the start of the shift.
  • Walk the floor with the demand report and ensure all the stations are stocked up to prevent any downtime from occurring during the shift.
  • Receive the inventory accuracy count sheet from CLT and perform cycle counts on parts which have physical quantities lesser than required system quantities to satisfy production.
  • Each item in the count sheet needs to be reviewed and cycle counted with actual count.
  • The actual count should be recorded in the provided sheet using pen and returned it back to CLT for further review.
  • Linestocker needs to follow up with CLT after 2 hours of handing over the count sheet to ensure that the necessary transactions are done to protect the line.
  • Periodic floor walk should be performed at the start, 4th hour and 7th hour to ensure that all the materials pertaining to the team are properly stocked up to prevent downtime/EOOP.
  • Receive all the LPNs arriving at RMEP to the assigned sub inventories and locators.
  • All the materials at the designated lane at the dock, racks and station should be received.
  • Touch it, transact it should be our motto going forward.
  • For critical parts which arrive without destination sub-inventory and locator, please contact Order technician so that he/she can perform the receiving process.
