About The Position

The Advanced Chemical Operator / Drum Handler is responsible for the safe transfer, handling, packaging, and disposal of hazardous chemical products within the warehouse facility. This role supports operations by transferring hazardous chemicals into containers and drums, flushing lines between product transfers, safely handling hazardous materials, and operating forklifts to move materials throughout the facility. This role requires more in-depth clean up after drumming due to the nature of what is being packaged. The Advanced Chemical Operator requires training on how to do a steam flush to clean the lines after drumming. It also requires respirator fit test and training, a deeper dive into the SDS review process, emergency response and more extensive PPE training such as Tyvek suits, arm guards, face shields, safety goggles and anything else needed for safety. This role also requires training on how to operate and maintain the boiler since this is what powers the steam flush process. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safety, compliance, and operational efficiency in a chemical handling environment.
