About The Position

PAR Systems is seeking an Advanced Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer to ensure engineered systems perform as intended and that this performance is demonstrable through disciplined testing, documentation, traceability, and audit-ready evidence. This role is for an individual with a strong foundation in V&V, systems engineering, or quality within a regulated industry, ready for greater technical ownership. The engineer will support V&V activity planning and execution, analyze requirements traceability, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and project teams from design through commissioning. Project needs may occasionally require support for adjacent engineering activities such as mechanical design, controls engineering, or software development, depending on workload and background.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related technical field.
3+ years of experience in Verification & Validation, Systems Engineering, Software Quality, or Quality Engineering in a regulated industry such as nuclear, aerospace, defense, medical device, or similar.
Strong understanding of requirements management, configuration management, and requirements traceability.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured, audit-ready documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, quality, and project teams.
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and ownership skills to ensure adequate follow-through with multiple interacting tasks.
U.S. Citizen due to customer contractual requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting software V&V activities in accordance with IEEE 1012, IEEE 829 or similar standards.
Familiarity with NQA-1, nuclear quality assurance programs, or other highly regulated quality systems.
Experience with automation systems, controls, robotics, nuclear handling systems, remote equipment, or fuel transfer systems.

Responsibilities

Support verification and validation activity planning and execution.
Analyze requirements traceability.
Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and project teams from design through commissioning.
Ensure system, integration, and acceptance testing is well planned, thoroughly documented, and completed with no unresolved critical defects.
Ensure clear requirements traceability is maintained from design inputs through test evidence.
Contribute to V&V process improvements.
Support compliance with applicable standards such as NQA-1, IEEE, and IEC.
Help strengthen consistency across projects.
Work with Engineering, Quality, and Project Management to keep analytical reports and testing activities aligned with technical requirements, schedules, and regulatory expectations.
Periodically contribute to mechanical design, controls engineering, or software development tasks when V&V workload allows.
