The Advanced Thermal Control Engineer will provide technical expertise in Thermal Controls algorithm development focused in the areas of optimization and conditional-based maintenance routines and logic. This position will support the integration of these algorithms into the base Vertiv Thermal Controls embedded and software platforms throughout the R&D, implementation, and testing verification phases. In addition, this position will work with design engineering to create and work with system simulation models. Heavy integration of these models and algorithms into the Thermal Controls testing frameworks to provide automated testing support is expected. This role will work on a global team with resources and physical/virtual lab environments spanning multiple regions and time zones. The position will report into the Global Thermal Line of Business and will impact the global product portfolio. The Global Thermal product portfolio includes traditional air cooled (DX), pumped refrigerant economizer, Chilled water/Chiller, Liquid Cooled, heat rejection, software, and controls-based products. This position will look holistically across the portfolio and help identify opportunities for advanced algorithm development and then take those ideas to production driving significant customer value around the world.
