This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions supporting the SSP program. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment, contributing to full-stack development across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers. Responsibilities include participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous integration/delivery pipelines, as well as supporting system integration, RESTful API design, and containerized deployments. Producing and maintaining technical documentation is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 3 years relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • JavaScript + PostgreSQL — frontend and relational database development
  • TypeScript — strongly-typed JavaScript development
  • Spring Boot — Java-based backend services
  • Go / Java — backend microservices development
  • RESTful API Design — interface design and implementation
  • Docker & Containerization — container-based deployment workflows
  • Agile Practices — Scrum / Kanban software development methodology
